SUMMARY:Race Across America - 2023
DESCRIPTION:Beginning in Oceanside\, California and continuing non-stop to the finish in Annapolis\, Maryland\, the Race Across America (RAAM) is one of the most well known ultra-endurance events across all sports.  It has been running since the early 1980’s and while it has included finishes by professional cyclists\, it has also seen its share of relative newcomers to competitive cycling.  There are race formats that welcome solo riders as well as two\, four\, or eight person relay teams.  Solo racers must qualify by performance in at least one ‘RAAM Qualifier’ event.  Qualification standards do not apply to relay teams.  RAAM does require a support crew and can not be raced in an unsupported format.  For those interested in a shorter\, but still very demanding event\, consider the Race Across the West\, or RAW\, which covers the first ~1\,000 miles of the same course\, finishing in Durango\, Colorado.

Davis\, Marfa and Presidio before it takes in one of the most scenic roads in America.  Twisting\, turning\, up\, down\, find those little gears as the route snakes the Rio Grande.  At any given point you are a stone’s throw from Mexico.  Then head into Big Bend\, Castolon  and the Chisos Basin.  And let’s not forget the eerie and remote La Linda road that heads to the end of America.  Go ahead and take in Sanderson\, Dryden\, the Davis Mountains and you have yourself one heck of a RAAM Qualifying 1000 miles.  48K+ feet of vertical climbing and 48K+ feet of thrilling descents.

DESCRIPTION:The 1000 mile immediately leaves the QC7 and heads to Ft. Davis\, Marfa and Presidio before it takes in one of the most scenic roads in America.  Twisting\, turning\, up\, down\, find those little gears as the route snakes the Rio Grande.  At any given point you are a stone’s throw from Mexico.  Then head into Big Bend\, Castolon  and the Chisos Basin.  And let’s not forget the eerie and remote La Linda road that heads to the end of America.  Go ahead and take in Sanderson\, Dryden\, the Davis Mountains and you have yourself one heck of a RAAM Qualifying 1000 miles.  48K+ feet of vertical climbing and 48K+ feet of thrilling descents.
